Young mothers and feeding?

I am a young mother and I fed when my son was first born but I decided to change because he was just unsettled and was fustrated when I fed him. So I switched to formula. I chose to try and feed because it is natural and I will be doing the same for my twins, hopefully they can stay on it for longer though :)
