Y!messenger unable to delete my contacts, the stealth settings frozen, even when i set my status to online..?

uninstall properly the messenger and get rid of all the components of yahoo messenger. delete folders and subfolders that contain about YM. delete temporary internet files, cookies and browsing history. restart PC and reinstall the messenger. that would solve the problem without downloading any programs.
