Why not stop the wars, increase Internal Security, CIA, NSA, cut costs, live & let live & extend a fig leaf?

Isn't it time we focused on business development other than Oil and Defense, which leads to war?. Like new tech manufacture, renewable energy, and rebuilding local infrastructure and our home economy. Encouraging more local, and organic food, and gerally better more meaningful manufacturing for a new age? Get our house in order instead of bickering, and name calling about 2 wars, that a lot of very smart people see are strictly to subsidize the Oil and defense industries. When so many have died... it's a sin ;-( Can you see that perspective... what do you think?
