Should we be concerned as parents for our kids? Should I do something to help out? (A little long sorry)?

Things like that can happen anywhere. It doesn't really matter that you guys have a tight little neigborhood. Bad things just happen sometimes. He is obviously a good dad if he booted her to the curb like that. A lot of people will still take the side of the accused even if it means loosing their children. It is sad that the man lost his child for a bad choice in mates but I am sure he will be able to get her back. I think taking something over to him cooked might be a great idea. It would give him a boost of confidence that the whole neighborhood hasn't turned their backs on him and it might send a positive signal to the rest of the group that are talking about him behind his back. Whatever you do, don't go along with the bad gossip.
