Could this be menopause or what?

I am 48.5 years old and for the first time in my life, excluding pregnancies, two weeks after my last period started, there was just blood again. It's been going on for the ninth day so far, and it looks like its going away. Should I worry about it, or is it the beginning of menopause or what? Should I just wait until my next period?
